The pilot of the Hippo Health Platform offers iLääkärit a comprehensive access to patient health information. Patients own their data and authorize physicians to view it. This reduces the need for the patient to remember precise details during appointments.
The collaboration enables healthcare services for everyone and lightens the physicians' administrative workload, allowing them to focus more on patient care and ensuring continuity of care in remote encounters.
iLääkärit services operate through Social Insurance Institution of Finlands' (Kela) direct reimbursement system. This means that the customer incurs no out-of-pocket expenses.
"We found a way to combine funding models and customer-oriented service cost-effectively. When the physician's virtual consultation is fully covered by Kela reimbursement, the service is genuinely accessible for everyone," Salo explains.
iLääkärit has received applauding feedback: "How can such a service exist?"; "Why haven't I heard from you before?"; "How can this be so easy?".
"Our customer feedback has been phenomenal even in the early stages of our operations – our recommendation index is currently 98/100. To us, this indicates that we are solving our customers' real problems," Salo explains.
The purpose of the pilot is to improve the effectiveness of e-health services. Salo's vision is to build a modern personal doctor model by utilizing the patient summary from the Hippo Health Platform in its services.
"This is not just a technical solution, but a platform that sets the direction for the transformation of the entire healthcare service system. The benefits of the pilot bring us one step closer to realizing our vision of offering personalized healthcare for everyone," Salo concludes.
